The Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and Auxiliaries Inc. provides a learning centred environment

The Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and Auxiliaries Inc (TCDHA) recognizes the importance to acknowledge and learn the history of the Indigenous Nations that occupy the territory in which we are born, play, work, live and grow. TCDHA acknowledges the land we are gathering on is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. TCDHA also acknowledges that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit.

including a dental hygienist and a dentist, and opened in the winter of 2003.

Dr. Boris Pulec
Business Director and Cofounder
Dr. Pulec graduated from the University of Toronto in 1985 in the Doctor of Dental Surgery program and has been actively
working as a general practitioner focused on dental implants and education since 1987. He holds
the status of both "Fellow" and "Diplomate" in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Some of his achievements and involvements are as follows: Has been involved with dental education
since 1999 He has been the Dean of Students at the Toronto College of Dental Hygiene Inc. since
2004. Is the founder and developer of Consult-PRO, the leading dental patient education software.
The interactive software is used in over 22 countries by thousands of dentists and numerous University
Post Graduate programs Designed educational displays at the Ontario Science Center. Benefactor
of “The Dr. Boris Pulec Dental Implant Scholarship” at the University of Toronto. Former member
of the board of directors of the University of Toronto Alumni committee Co-founder of both the
Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and Auxiliaries Inc. and the Vancouver College of Dental Hygiene
Inc.(VCDH ). Past president of the Ontario Study Club for Osseointegration, Lecturer on dental
patient education both nationally and internationally. Has written articles and has lectured
on various dental related topics. Most recently lecturing to dentists on proper record keeping
, informed consent and confidentiality issues with the advent of electronic records in the US
Lidia Di Nicolo graduated from Seneca College from the dental assisting program in 1989. She worked as a dental assistant
and office manager during this time. She later graduated in 1994 with high honors from Seneca
College Dental Hygiene Program. In 1994, she worked full time as a dental hygienist in a state
of the art dental office. In 1999, she commenced managing two very prominent dental implant practices
in Toronto for approximately 6 years. In 2004, she became the cofounder of Toronto College of
Dental Hygiene and Auxiliaries Inc. and has held the position of Business Director overlooking
the operation and the day to day functions of the College. In 2005, she became the cofounder
of Vancouver College of Dental Hygiene Inc. and has held the position of Business Director overlooking
the operation and the day to day functions of the College. In 2005, she became a dental sales
representative for DHC Marketing- Consult-pro patient education software. She has had the opportunity
to travel both nationally and internationally to promote and sell software to dental professionals.
In 2008- 2009, she furthered her education at University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management
by completing a Certificate, MBA Essentials for Managers. Her passion for the dental profession
drives her to continue to succeed within the dental industry.
Mary Lou Siviero is a Registered Dental Hygienist with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario
since 2000. She has been in the field of dentistry since 1993 after receiving an Honours Certificate
in Dental Assisting and Preventive Dental Assisting (Level 1 & 2) from St. Clair College. After
six years of working in a general dental practice and educating the community in dental health
care, she pursued her passion towards a Dental Hygiene Diploma and graduated from Fanshawe College
with Dean's Honours. Her passion for the dentistry field over the last 23 years has contributed
to her sound knowledge in the dentistry profession. For the past nine years she has been a dedicated
Dental Educator and is currently pursuing her Bachelor Degree in Adult Education while still
working within a general dental practice. Her teaching philosophy utilizes various teaching strategies
that encourages diverse ways of critical thinking and is primarily based on meeting the needs
of the learner. She currently is a full-time faculty member at TCDHA, teaching didactic and clinical
courses as well as being designated as the Fourth Semester Educational Coordinator.
Graduated from George Brown College in both dental assisting and dental hygiene programs in 1995
and 2003 respectively. Gained valuable experience working as a dental hygienist in a variety
of private dental offices in general practice and orthodontics. Continuing education includes
many courses in orthodontics and periodontology. Current studies include pursuing a Bachelor
Degree in Adult Education at Brock University. Active member of the ODHA, CDHA and CDHO since
2003. Volunteer work includes dental hygiene services at Evergreen Centre for Street Youth and
currently working with KIA, Kindness In Action, to volunteer dental hygiene services during dental
missions in South America. Recent trips include Nicaragua and Peru.
