Faculty Development Workshop

A faculty development workshop on "APA citing" will be held on Wednesday October 28th @ 7pm. Ms. Lisa Wolfe has volunteered to be a guest speaker for this evening. Please let me know if you would like to attend this workshop.

Product/Guest Speaker Evening

We would like to organize a product/guest speaker evening for all students and faculty on Thursday December 3, 2009. This evening would consist of numerous products /dental representatives presenting their products/throughout the evening.

There will be a fee for each dental representative/guest speaker. This fee will be donated to the TCDHA graduation/scholarship fund.

We have the following guest speaker to date:

• Periowave - Chris Allan - from Periowave
• Lecture of Ergonomics - Oluchi Erike RMT
• Consult Pro

Next week will be the start of Dental Hygiene Week...We have lots of activities and events that will take place. Please come out and be a part of this celebration!

Monday:
Cake Celebration from 11-12 @ Steeprock

Tuesday:
Purple Day! Accessorize your uniforms with the official Dental Hygiene Colour!

Wednesday:
Pumpkin Carving Contest.
Please have your class rep pick up your pumpkins this Thursday @ the staff room.
Be creative! Carving must be dentally related. Have fun!

Thursday:
Potluck Lunch! A sign-up sheet has been posted in the student lunch room. Lets break the record and make this the biggest potluch lunch ever!

Friday:
Awards to be given to the Esaay Contest Winner and Scavenger Hunt team

Please email Sindy or Pauline to register your team for the scavenger hunt no later than this Friday by 4pm.

Each team will receive their daily clues @ 8am on Monday morning.

"Essay Writing Contest "
Please submit your essays "What does Dental Hygeine mean to me...." by October 20th.
